Horizon Equity Partners is pleased to announce the second investment of Horizon Growth Fund I, through an investment in Luís Brito Têxteis, S.A. (LBT), a Portuguese textile company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality knitted garments.
Founded on the backbone of nearly three decades of experience, LBT offers a full-service production model, encompassing design, product development, and final manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on client customization and product excellence. The company is recognized for its long-standing partnerships with premium fashion brands across Europe and North America, exporting 100% of its production to markets including Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.
LBT specializes in the production of knitwear and jersey garments, ranging from simple designs to technically complex pieces. Its strong network of fabric finishers and specialized garment partners allows the company to maintain flexibility, innovation, and responsiveness to client needs — particularly within the mid- to upper-end European fashion segment.
In 2023, Luís Brito Têxteis achieved a turnover of €11.5 million and a recurring EBITDA of €2.2 million. The company employs around 200 people and operates from modern facilities covering over 5,000 m², supporting its integrated textile production and export operations across Europe.
Combining manufacturing capability, embedded technology, and customer-oriented services, LBT positions itself as a competitive partner in the European textile supply chain, particularly for brands seeking “Made in Portugal” sourcing with premium finishing and efficient lead times.
This investment will support LBT’s continued growth and international expansion, enhancing its production capacity and innovation capabilities, while reinforcing its commitment to quality, sustainability, and premium textile manufacturing in Portugal.
