The Horizon Equity Partners fund, created in 2017 by António Pires de Lima and Sérgio Monteiro, has closed the purchase of 50% of the company that built and controls the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital (Loures) and 40% of the capital of the Santos Espírito Hospital on Terceira Island (Azores), from the Mota-Engil group, a deal worth around 75 million euros (debt included), of which 21 million in equity.
According to two sources contacted by ECO, the negotiations took place over the last four months and were finally closed at the beginning of this week. In both operations, the partnership contracts for the two infrastructures run until 2039.
